Business model
The aim of Volpet Software is to develop smart software for database administrators and software developers. We want our products to be of help for as many professionals and businesses as possible, and therefore aim at keeping the prices down. To achieve this, we avoid cluttering our products with features that nobody will ever use, and instead focus on shipping products that solve a single problem very well.
In order to keep the prices down, we also avoid providing support over the phone. Instead, support is provided by e-mail and through our community-powered forum.
We also give away licenses for free to charities and nonprofits. This is our way of giving back.
Why “Volpet”?
Volpet has to do with the Italian noun volpe, which means fox in English. Foxes are known for being quite smart, and we wanted the name of our company to remind us and our customers that we do things in a smart way.
